Lennox Heating & Cooling
A Lennox 90%+ gas furnace and 14 SEER A/C are standard on each home. The standard and optional furnace feature a secondary heat exchanger that allows the furnace to reach high-efficiency levels by capturing additional heat. All furnaces are ENERGY STAR® qualified. A MERV 8 filter is standard on all furnaces.
The A/C features a direct-drive fan that is designed to provide quieter operation and longer product life. It uses chlorine-free R-410-A refrigerant that meets the EPA’s most stringent environmental guidelines. All outdoor units come with a corrosion-resistant cabinet made of heavy gauge galvanized steel. The higher the SEER rating, the better the energy performance. All upgrades are ENERGY STAR® qualified.
Furnaces come with a 20-year limited warranty on heat exchanger and 5-year limited warranty on covered components. A/C and heat pumps come with a 5-year limited warranty on covered components.

Baseboard hydronic and electric heating systems are available. A given volume of water can hold almost 3,500 times as much heat as the same volume of air, for the same temperature rise in each material.
Hydronic Heating Systems
Depending on your climate zone, a hydronic radiant heating system may be the right choice for your new home. These systems are generally not installed in climates that need air conditioning or evaporative coolers. Hydronic radiant heating consists of a system designed around a central boiler that heats water or glycol running to tubing throughout your home. The heat energy is emitted from a warm element, such as baseboard registers, under-floor or in-floor systems. Baseboard systems (shown above) are the most cost effective, while under-floor and in-floor systems (shown below) provide the additional comfort of enjoying a heated floor throughout the home. These systems are highly beneficial for people with indoor allergies. An optional sidearm added to your boiler is the most economical hot water heating system and ensures and abundance of hot water for bathing.

The air in the room is warmed when it comes into contact with the warmed objects, the largest of which is the floor. Heat loss is reduced and the radiant heat remains in the lower part of the room, making it warmer at foot level and slightly less so at head level, which creates the perfect climate for comfort. Because the entire floor surface is so large, the temperature can be set quite a bit lower than that of baseboard or wall radiators. When installing wood floors over in-floor radiant heating, the wood must run perpendicular to the radiant tubing (as shown above).
Electrical
Standards include special child-resistant outlets with self-closing plug, 14/12 gauge wiring and a
200-amp electrical panel. A full 12-gauge wiring package is available throughout your house.
