Every home built with our high performance specifications include premium vinyl single-hung windows with
Low-E standard, by JELD-WEN®, and feature a U-factor of .34 and a DP 35 rating. Low-E windows and an
excellent U-factor are required components of the ENERGY STAR homes program. A full line of Pella®

What is Low-E Glass?
Low-E is a microscopically thin, transparent metallic coating on the glass that reduces radiant heat loss. Low-E can also act as a sun block by reducing the passage of UV rays to help prevent the fading of your furniture and carpet. The U-factor measures a window’s ability to resist the transfer of heat. The lower the U-factor, the less heat is transferred, and the more energy-efficient the window. The Design Pressure (DP) rating measures how resistant the window is to positive and negative air pressure, wind and rain. The higher the DP rating, the tighter the window. A DP 20 is required by most codes, where we offer a DP 35 standard.
